well over the past couple of days i've worked out a few more things. I'm about 99% certain that the file header is 92bytes.

After looking at the files sizes on a number of discs, I finally made the connection. A good majority end in 92. And considering that I already knew for certain the header was at least 86bytes it started to make sense. Also I've determined lately that each sample is 10bytes. So the file should be a multiple of 10 + 92. I've noticed only a very that look like they have a partial "frame", but that shouldn't be anything to worry about yet.

When it comes to the actual frame data, there are six channels. But the sixth channel, the subwoofer is created by the range of 20Hz-80Hz in the surrond channels. Each channel is 16bits, ie 2bytes. So a full frame is 10bytes.

Also, in rereading all of the docs i have. It's been awhile if you've been watching since i started this till now. I found the correct bitrate for the codec. It's 882kbits/sec, or 903168bits/sec, or 112896kbytes/sec.

So with that i've been able to determine an approximate play time. I say approximate because theres no way to find out a reel's run time, and when totaled they don't add up to the run times post on imdb.

Anyways, I should have a new version of dtscinfo uploaded soon, and a very basic xmms plugin. And hopefully soon a basic winamp one. X
